Our Story
DIRTYTHREE was founded in December 2024 during a training rotation at ITX, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California. It began under the name Fishtank Studios — a simple digital archive created by a group of Marines to document and preserve the experiences, camaraderie, and culture of their time in service.
Originally intended as a private space to share memories, it quickly became clear that what they were building held greater meaning. With the 1833 MOS being deactivated and the AAVP7A1 platform nearing retirement, an entire chapter of Marine Corps history was quietly fading. Rather than let that legacy disappear, the team chose to evolve.
What began as an archive became a mission.
DIRTYTHREE was born — a brand dedicated to honoring and preserving the Amphibious Assault community. Through visual design, storytelling, and purposeful products, DIRTYTHREE represents not only the Marines who served in this role, but also the grit, pride, and tradition they carried with them.
Today, DIRTYTHREE stands as a living tribute to those who operated the vehicle, wore the MOS, and earned the name. This is more than a brand. It’s a way to make sure the story of Amphibious Assault doesn’t end — it lives on, in full color, and on our terms.
